Kennards Hire is seeking a motivated and self driven Collections Team leader with a proven track record, to join the family. Reporting to the Credit Manager you will be based in Seven Hills within the finance department. 

 

About the role..

 

The primary purpose of the Collections Team Leader role is to manage the day-to-day activities of the collection team to provide a best in class customer experience from the moment a customer joins Kennards Hire right through the customer journey. This includes;

  • Monitoring and managing the Debtor Book risk as a whole and for individual customers.
  • Strong leadership, including coaching and developing team skills and knowledge to improve the customer experience and reduce outstanding debt
  • Managing the payments cycle particularly on overdue and legal accounts. This will include investigating, monitoring and collecting on overdue accounts
  • Provide monthly aged debtor reports to management with
    explanations of overdue unpaid debt
  • Assist the Credit Manager to ensure compliance with company directives, policies, statutory compliance
  • Working with stakeholders to manage customers particularly in dispute or distress circumstances.
  • Approval of payment plans and payment arrangements

About you..

 

We are looking for an energetic professional with previous experience as a Collections Team Leader. To be successful you must be able to demonstrate;

  • Previous experience in managing a collections team to deliver outstanding collection and customer experience results (may include team role reviews, book distribution,
    use of outsourced support, etc)
  • Previous experience in the development of a high performing collections team
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Superior negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast paced complex environment
