An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated  and skilled Branch Workshop Mechanic to join our friendly team. You will be responsible for carrying out services, preventative maintenance and repairs on a range of petrol/gasoline and diesel engine equipment


As the Branch Mechanic, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the Branch workshop and managing the service and repair of equipment to Kennards’ standard for our customers, and to minimise downtime
  • Fault finding and diagnostics across a variety of equipment.
  • Managing the maintenance and servicing schedule on all equipment to meet all safety regulations
  • Performing regular equipment inspection as part of preventative maintenance
  • Stock management of parts and essential workshop supplies
  • Manage the flow of equipment through the workshop to ensure equipment availability for the customers
  • Maintaining service records to high standards
  • Liaising with external suppliers for quotes and repairs
  • Providing our customers with safety and operating instruction
  • Assisting in the field service breakdown and servicing requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven Mechanical background with a track record of diagnosing, assessing and rectifying problems with equipment
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Experience working with a variety of petrol/gasoline and diesel engine equipment
  • Experience in diagnostics and fault finding
  • Demonstrated understanding of workplace safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management in a reactive environment with a proven ability to manage a wide variety of tasks and prioritise and delegate.
  • Experience on small engines desirable
